collaboration, ongoing

Founded in 2013 by Elisa Adami and Alessandra Ferrini, Mnemoscape is a research platform dedicated to furthering research into contemporary visual culture and art practices that operate at the interstices of political and historical scrutiny, with a special focus on issues of memory, methodology and the archival impulse.  These investigations have materialized in curatorial, educational and practice-led projects, and in the publication of an online magazine (2014-17). Currently Mnemoscape is undergoing a deep transformation, reflecting Alessandra and Elisa's evolving practices and collaborative work. It will be re-launched in 2021.

Mnemoscape has established a wide network of collaborators, and has been supported by institutions and organisations such as:  Whitechapel Gallery, the Journal of Visual Culture, the Polish Cultural Institute, the University of Westminster, Little Constellation Network, Viafarini, Mediterranean Biennal, Banner Repeater.
