OutCross (Black Mediterranean)
installation, 2018
OutCross (Black Mediterranean) is wall-installation that provides a mapping of the main elements of the so-called gangmaster system of exploitation within the agricultural supply chain. By providing a backdrop for the video Radio Ghetto Relay, it places this system and the testimonies of the tomato harvesters broadcasted on Radio Ghetto Voci Libere, within a context of European neo-imperialism.
It was commissioned by Mira Asriningtyas, Nora Heidorn and Kari Rittenbach for the exhibition COMING SOON at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin (June-October 2018). It was then exhibited at the 2nd Lagos Biennale (2019).
